I have naturally black hair but i really want white blonde hair!?

any ideas of how i could achieve this but not completely ruin my hair?

I have naturally black hair but i really want white blonde hair!?

I used to do this all the time, go to a beauty supply store, get 30 volume peroxide developer, four packets of booster, might be called activator, lightener like 7th stage, violet or ash drabber, might be called unRed, an applicator bottle, and shower cap. And Shimmer Lights shampoo.

Protect what ever you're wearing with a big garbage bag or just don't wear a shirt, pour the lightener into the applicator, add all four boosters, gently mix this, you don閳ユ獩 want any bubbles at all, now pour peroxide developer into applicator, gently mix, now put this on your hair and work it all thru, I have used a shower comb when my hair was not so long. Put the shower cap on and relax for an HOUR or more, really I'm not kidding. Check how light the hair is by getting the bleach off with a paper towel, it's best to check the back of the head. Add some cheap (cheap because this has less conditioner in it) plain shampoo and water to the applicator bottle and mix up what閳ユ獨 left in there. Wash your hair out in the kitchen sink or tub if you have a hand held shower head, when you take off the shower cap, pour the shampoo mixture from the applicator bottle on and work up a lather, rinse out very good. Towel dry your hair, it will probably look light yellow, try to get your hair as dry as you can with towels. Mix up the drabber with the peroxide and put this on, I think the drabber takes like 15 or 20 minutes, rinse it out. Viola white hair. Use the Shimmer Lights shampoo to keep it white, you might want to wear gloves because it is like purple ink. If you need conditioner use a spray on that you leave in, because the rinse out kind will take the violet out and you'll have yellow hair.

I would go to a salon to have it done, they are going to have to bleach your hair, and then they can put the blonde color in your hair,. and then you just have to keep it condition.

the answer to this is simple: go to a salon and get your hair colored. the WORST possible way to turn your hair blonde would be to bleach it yourself.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! u can always tell when it's fake

You could use any of the Herbal Essence bleaching kits that they sell between the other Herbal Essence hair dyes. Get the one that has the shade of bleaching blonde that you want, and use it as directed inside the box. I thought it worked great. Every bleach will hurt your hair one way or another, but just remember to really condition it with Pantene Pro-V and your hair will feel better than BEFORE you bleached it and it'll try to keep that bright blonde you want!

I doubt if its even possible to get your hair white blonde. I have veryyyyy dark almost black hair and have been blonde for a while the lightest my hairdresser can get even using a reallllly strong peroxide bleach on it is a honey or ash type blonde.

It is very drying to the hair and you have to use lots of deep conditioning products to keep it in ok condition. It looses its shine and my hair is no way in good condition anymore even thou ive tried to care for it well. The bleach is really drying.

I wouldnt reccomend it. After a few years of being blonde im going back to being dark as I think it will improve the look and condition of my hair...

Its very expensive to keep up too as the roots show as soon as they start to grow so even like a few milliemeters of root shows as its such a contrast etc.

You would be better just great streaks etc.

Can I also add that dont try it yourself like some people have said to.... I am speaking from expereince here... home bleaching kits are not as strong as the bleach you will need to get your hair blonde. It will lighten your hair but it will not go blonde. You will be left with orange or at beast strawberry blonde. They totally dry out your hair and can even snap it off... the salons bleach that they would use would still be drying to your hair but it is more conditioning and stronger so they dont have to leave it on so long to get blonde. They also apply tints etc after to take out any un wanted brassyness...

But my true advise would be not to go there. Hair looks much better when shiny. I do know how you feel thou as like you id love to have white blonde hair... A good alternative is to get hair extensions put in they can add streaks or fo an under section of this colour this way without damaging your hair through dye.

Good luck chick x

Do not attempt this yourself. Go to a salon. They will do a double process on your hair. First they will strip all color out of your hair, then they will apply a very light blond color. Total time - about 2 hours.

Realize that you will need professional touch-ups every 3-4 weeks. And make sure you condition your hair after each and every shampoo.

From personal experience, I can tell you it aint easy getting to blonde from black hair.

Even with a professional, it can be tricky. I turned what we dubbed "pineapple yellow". Getting to platinum is damn near impossible.

It is possible - yeah - it's obvious it isn't your real color, but that's the point. I went to JC Penney's salon and they did a wonderful job dying my hair platinum. It's grown back to it's natural color, so I cut my hair and am fixing to go back in to get it done again. I do it to match my white dog - people think it's interesting - so I don't care if it looks unnatural.

I would HIGHLY advise you not to even try. Black hair is the hardest to try to lighten. Take it from me hun I worked in a hair salon for 3 yrs and its very very hard to do this. The first thing you should do is go to the best hair salon you know. This will be expensive but if you don't want hair that will look and feel like spagetti noodles then I would not advise you to to try to dye your hair yourself. So to start out with I would gradually lighten your hair by shades. and just to see if your hair would even get that light I would ask them to highlight it to the lightest blonde possible. If it turns out funny looking they will tone it and make it look right but then you will know for sure what not to try with it. its just something to do with black hair the pigment in it is so hard to change. its possible to do it but it certainly takes time and gradual colorings over a long period of time. When you lighten your hair you strip the color of it in order to do this. This in turn does more damage to your hair vs. when you darken it all the dye does is coat your hair. I would just give it up. Look on the bright side though black hair is beautiful. Trust me you don't want all those chemicalls in your hair it will ruin it. You will really be disapointed witht he results if you want it blonde that bad I suggest a wig. But not many people would do that. Good luck darlin!

PLEASE DONT TRY THIS AT HOME. you wont get it from black to white on your own with a kit from a supermarket because the chemicals arent the correct percentages. they are mixed in a certain way to prevent as many hair disasters as they can, and by doing this they screw up all the potencies.

anyway, getting there is achievable - hooray! but it takes alot of time, a bit of cash and a very good hairdresser. you'll need to be a religious user of conditioner and be prepared to go for regular root touch ups. i cant stress enough, that you cannot (unless you're a stylist) do this yourself though, but get yourself into a hairdressers with a specialist colour technician and have a detailed consulation. they can take you through the ins and outs and give you a time estimate - aswell as a price! good luck, and i hope it goes to plan! xxxx
