Not to offend, but why is black and white people's hair so different?

A white person's hair is fine and a black person's hair is thick and hard to manage.

Black hair produces little if any oil. Therefore it is lighter and not as straight as white hair. Blacks don't have to wash their hair everyday either because it does not get oily, in fact we put oil into our hair.

I believe its thousands of years of evolution , the hotter the sun the more the body needs to adapt.

Okay here is the scientific reason. When white people's hair grows even if it's curly it grown in straight then once out it curls ( if the hair is curly, if not just remains straight), because of this the entire hair shaft is exposed to sebum which is a natural hair oil that the body produces. Black people, our hair does not grow in straight, it grows in curled constantly turning so only some parts of our hair gets exposed to sebum and other parts don't thereby making it courser than caucasian hair.

No offense taken. I have seen so many white people with nasty, tangled hair, and I have only seen the people on TV on hair commercials that have the pretty silky hair, alot of the white women I see. Their hair looks a mess! It looks like it has been dyed too often or permed too often, maybe when they are younger their hair looks okay, but it seems it has to be washed every day, because of all of the oils in your head. So, i dont know. No offense, but why do blacks have hotter bodies than white people? Why aren't white people happy with the pale "pink" skin God gave them, and want to tan so often? Why are black people height and weight proportionate and white people have ill figured and misconfigured shapes? Why do white people want to be orange instead of pink?

THAT'S THE WAY GOD INTENDED FOR THEM TO BE. DIVERSITY.

Not all black people's hair is "nappy." That's a misconception. In any event, as many know, the severe climate in Africa is the reason our hair is thicker than whites. We needed protection from the scorching heat.

beacuse they were slaves and their hair need to be harder to help them not get hurt (like a hard hat)

First of all, Black people's hair is not hard to manage. That is a myth put out by white people. My hair is super soft (I don't perm my hair) and I have no problems with my hair what so ever. Our hair is curly because that is the way God intended it to be. I have no desire for straight hair.

Second of all, they are different because White and Black people are different. The same way your hair won't look like an Asian or Hispanic person's hair.

Difference is what makes people who they are and unique, who wants everyone looking alike. And why is this difference a concern of yours? What difference does the various hair texture make in your life?

Not all black people's hair is hard to manage. It's how they look after it. The reason why black hair is so unique is because of the African climate. Our hair acts as a barrier from the blazing sun and helps to cools us down. In the winter, it can also help to keep us warm, like a woolly hat.

Black folks hair is more ribbon shaped as opposed to rounder, non-black hair. This makes it curl upon itself and feel courser.
