If you have a mixed head of hair, some grey/white and some pigmented, a sudden shock can caues the rapid loss of the pigmented hair leaving only the grey/white hair. This would give the appearance that your hair had turned white overnight, but what would have happend is you lost all your pigmented hair leaving only the grey/white hair.

How can your hair change color? Its already outside of your body, there is no circulatory system or anything else supplying or fortifying your hairi - Its just a bunch of organic material with pigment in it! How could being scared affect that???? You might was well try to say that your CLOTHES changed color because you were scared.

NO! Grey Hair is actually transparant hair. The difference between it and your normal hair is you have stopped producing the pigment which gives you the colour you once had.
